Rockstar Energy Drink Debuts as Official New Sponsor of the 25th Edition
The 2017 edition of the Spring Break Guide is now available to download online and is set to hit campus newsstands and surrounding areas on January 17th!
The annually released publication, which has kept college students in the know about Spring Break destinations and events, is known to be a significant Spring Break resource and is an anticipated fixture among college campuses throughout the United States and Canada. This year marks the 25th edition!
Published and distributed by CMG Media Agency, the Spring Break Guide promotes key break destinations, including Panama City Beach, FL, South Padre Island, TX, Daytona Beach, FL, and Lake Havasu, AZ.
The 2017 edition features a new cover sponsor and partner, with the Rockstar Energy Drink brand becoming just the third beverage brand sponsor in the Spring Break Guide’s history. (Coca-Cola was formerly a featured sponsor for 21 years before Mountain Dew’s Kickstart Energy Drink took over in 2014 for three years).
“The addition of Rockstar Energy Drink as our newest title cover sponsor makes perfect sense, building on the relationship and partnership we share with the brand in South Padre Island, TX,” commented Carm Giardina, a representative of CMG Media. Giardina is referring, of course, to Rockstar Beach, which took over the former Coca-Cola Beach in 2016, revitalizing the Spring Break scene in South Padre Island.
“Rockstar gives the 2017 Spring Break Guide a look and feel that we know our student audience will enthusiastically embrace,” continued Giardina. “The continuation of making energy drink brands our cover sponsor perfectly complements our agenda to provide increased exposure to our advertisers by way of increased readership of students that plan on traveling during their Spring Break.”
The 2017 Spring Break Guide will be distributed throughout 25 U.S. states, as well as in Canada, at over 200 school campuses, fraternity/sorority houses, and other related distribution hubs. Its overall reach is projected at one million students when factoring in digital downloads and social media targeting.
As a companion to the printed magazine, the online version at springbreakguide.com gives advertisers extra exposure, allowing students to click on sponsors’ websites and read up-to-date news and information concerning the featured destinations.
In addition to publishing and distributing, CMG Media manages the brand’s marketing and social reach via social networking platforms and other digital initiatives.
